Funding your study abroad experience

Financial aid can be applied to study abroad and faculty-led overseas studies programs. There are also many scholarships available to help finance study abroad programs. Eligibility requirements vary widely, including by program, financial need, language study, underrepresented scholars, etc. Seek out and review all resources that may be applicable to your situation to reduce the cost of your study abroad program.

 

IU + College scholarships

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OVPDEI) Scholarships

Need-based scholarship supports minority student participation in study abroad programs. Open to students associated with one of the DEI centers on campus.

Hutton International Experiences Program

Full-time undergraduate students at IUB with a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or major GPA of 3.70 may apply.

IU Education Abroad Scholarships

Awards over $100,000 in scholarship support annually on the basis of financial need and academic merit.

Indiana University Overseas Study Presidential Match Scholarships

Makes study abroad more affordable for students in specific units through a matching needs-based scholarship.

Robbins/Hutton Overseas Study Scholarship

This scholarship helps LAMP students finance a summer, semester, or academic year in another country.
